Loeffler Farms is owned and operated by Scott, Erica and Kathryn Loeffler, and is located just north of Columbus Ohio in Marengo. Loeffler Farms began in 2014 with a flock of Dorset Sheep, and has expanded to included Berkshire Pigs and Angus Beef Cows with bunch of laying hens thrown in for good measure and tasty omelets.
If you are ready to update your definition of delicious this is the right place. Our Ohio pasture based farm is dedicated to raising the best quality heritage breed sheep, pigs, beef and eggs. How Much lamb Do You Need?
How Much Does it Cost?
Choose the amount of meat you are interested in, a half lamb, or a whole lamb. Our Dorset Sheep typically weigh in at around 120 pounds. The rail weight is usually about half that, so roughly 60 pounds, which would yield about 50 pounds of packaged meat.
What is Included?
A half share is approximately the following cuts:
- 6 – 7 lbs for a bone in lamb shoulder
- 3 – 5 lbs for a boneless leg roast
- 5 – 6 lbs of ground lamb
- 8 – 10 lbs bone-in leg roast
- 6 – 8 lbs for a boneless leg roast
- 2 – 3 lbs of bone in lamb shanks
- 1 – 2 lbs of stew meat
- 2 – 3 lbs of bone in lamb chops
- 3 – 5 lbs of bone in sirloin chops
- 1 – 2 lbs of neck meat. This can be made into stew meat or ground.
Our lamb fully processed will be $5 per pound of the rail weight. To reserve your lamb we require a $100 deposit.

How Much Does it Cost?
Your family is ready to order some of our delicious Berkshire Pork! Now you just need to get the right amounts. A half share is perfect for smaller families. It will get you lots of choices, and keep your family well fed. With the half share you can expect to receive 80 - 90 pounds of packaged meat. If you have a larger family, you will want to look at a full share. With a full share you can expect to receive 160 - 180 pounds of packaged meat.
What is Included?
A half share is approximately the following cuts
- 10 – 12 lbs of loin – tenderloin, loin chops, bone-in chops, loin roast
- 3 – 4 lbs of spareribs
- 8 – 10 lbs ground pork and/or sausage – Italian and breakfast sausage, chorizo, bratwurst
- 8 – 10 lbs bacon
- 12 – 14 lbs ham – smoked or fresh, ham steaks, whole hams
- 12 – 14 lbs shoulder – pulled pork, shoulder roast, shoulder steaks
- 5 lbs ham hocks or stew bones – soup, stew
- 8 – 10 lbs fat – lard, great for pie crusts
- 1-2 lb jowl bacon

How Much beef Do You Need?
How Much Does it Cost?
We sell our Angus Beef by the quarter. A quarter consists of 1/4 of the total meat from the cow. A typical quarter of beef will have a rail weight of approximately 160 pounds. After processing, deboning, and fat removal you will receive roughly 120 pounds of beef depending on the cuts that are ordered.
What is Included?
A quarter beef order will roughly receive the following cuts:
- Steak 25-30 lbs
- Roasts 15-20 lbs
- Cubed Steak 3-5 lbs
- Short-Ribs 2-3 lbs
- Ground Beef 25-35 lbs
- Stew Meat 5-7 lbs
- Soup Bones 3 – 5lbs
Our Angus Beef prices are based on the rail weight. The typical rail weigh for a quarter of beef is 160 pounds. Our beef price is $4 per pound for a quarter of beef. A quarter of our Angus Beef will be approximately $640.
How Do I Reserve?
Well muscled, marbled and fattened our Angus Beef is beautifully finished to make your burger, steak, or mouth watering roast an event. We only raise what our land can support making our beef a rare commodity. Order early before it’s gone!

How Do I Buy Eggs?
Deep yellow yolks, and a high nutritional content make our free-range eggs worth every penny. Our hens roam our pastures eating a varied diet of insects, and plants. They are free, have fun and make tasty, delicious eggs for you.
